FAQ’s for your Light The Way Malas purchase:

1.  How do I pick the right size bracelet for my wrist?

I measure all bracelets to fit snug against the wrist.  So I recommend taking a flexible measuring tape and wrapping the part of your wrist that you intend to wear the bracelet.  Then add 1/4 - 1/2 inch to your wrist size depending on how much movement and wiggle room you prefer your bracelets to have.

2.  How long are mala bead necklaces?

The length of the mala depends on the size of the beads used.  The smaller beads (6mm) will make the mala shorter, but a bit more “wearable” as a necklace.  If you measure a mala from end-to-end (without the tassel) they run an average of 33” and hang from neck to end of tassel 18-22”

3.  How long will it take to get my order?

If you purchase an item that is already made and ready-to-go then it should take 1-3 business days to process and ship your order.  If you purchased an item that is made-to-order or requires modification of any kind then please allow 1-2 weeks for your order to ship.  You will receive shipping confirmation once your order has been shipped via USPS.

4.  What does my purchase come with?

All Light The Way Malas orders will come with detailed care instructions and metaphysical healing properties of the stones used in the jewelry.  All mala bead necklaces will come in a soft linen pouch for safe keeping.

5.  Will Light The Way Malas guarantee results from wearing gemstone jewelry?

All crystals and gemstones have metaphysical properties that are meant to promote health and positive thinking. These items are never meant to replace a doctor, nor are these pieces to be considered "treatment" for ailments or conditions. There are no results guaranteed from Light The Way Malas.  I cannot and will not "prescribe" crystals or stones to be used for certain ailments, conditions, needs, etc. and all results will vary for each person.  My best recommendation is to read the product details carefully and go with your gut!  Choose the one that calls you, the mala that you cannot get out of your mind, the bracelet that jumps off the screen and "grabs you.”

6.  What happens if I don’t like my jewelry?

That would really bum me out!  I absolutely want you to be happy with your jewelry.  If you are not pleased with your order then please contact me to see how we can resolve the issue.  

7.  What happens if my jewelry breaks?

Due to the nature of handmade jewelry, on occasion something attached may break off or come loose. Considering these pieces are all handmade and sometimes contain extremely fragile components, things do happen. In the event that something breaks off your jewelry within 30 days of purchase, you may ship it back and I will repair it and send back at no cost to you. 

I repair all of my mala beads necklaces free of charge.  If your mala breaks in any way please contact me to arrange sending it back to me for repair. *Important note: tradition states that malas will often break when our work with it has reached its conclusion.  If your mala breaks after using it for a period of time I will repair it to its original state or you have the option to pay for a modification of your mala to suit your updated needs.

8.  What should I do if my bracelet(s) doesn’t fit?

I understand that choosing a bracelet size online can be tricky and so I offer free bracelet sizing.  If you receive your order and your bracelet(s) doesn’t fit the way you would like it to then simply email me to arrange sending it back to me for modification.  I will adjust the sizing and mail it back.

9.  My order is a gift, will the package contain pricing information?

Nope!  Because you will have a detailed order summary emailed to you I prefer to save some trees and do not include a printout of the order with pricing information.  I simply printout the care instructions and stone healing properties for the items ordered.

10.  What is Light The Way Malas’ return policy?

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Please read all descriptions carefully before purchasing an item.  Contact me with any questions that you may have.  I will try my best to work with you if something goes wrong with your purchase but at this time I am unable to accommodate refunds, exchanges or returns.

There are absolutely NO refunds due to color deviation, as not all computer monitors represent the color shown the same way. Actual colors, patterns and textures may vary.  I do my best to photograph the items as accurately as possible, however I am not a photographer and I do not use filters or special equipment to alter the appearance, so if you have any concerns or questions, please contact me prior to purchase.
