It has been 4 months since my last blog post...so what have I been up to?? Quite a few creative ventures that are exciting and challenging and keep my creative heart oh-so-happy :)
This year, as I look to turning 33 (a vibrant and exciting number!) I simply wish to make each day one that I can be proud of. I like the feeling of not knowing what this year holds for me and I am looking forward to not feeling the need to write down all of the things that I feel I need to change. I absolutely have goals and dreams and things I want to accomplish and experience in 2016 but I know that by opening up my mind and heart to the endless opportunities ahead of me those dreams will be fulfilled…
Shouldn’t a knowledgable and experienced yoga teacher know perfect alignment in order to avoid injury altogether? If they injure themselves does that mean that I will get hurt? Shouldn’t they be perfect in every way so that they can help ME become perfect in my yoga practice?! And shouldn’t they be so amazingly experienced that they can do every freaking pose under the sun? *Sigh* These are things that I have heard throughout my years in the yoga community and unfortunately I used to fall prey to these judgments myself.
I have been a yoga teacher for 8 years now and I am at the point where I am seeing my long-time students now becoming teachers themselves! I am witnessing their growth as they go out into the world and learn lessons that I also learned during my first year(s) of teaching.
